JOB DESCRIPTION

The Education Advisor is the international advocate for Third Culture Kids (TCKs) in OMF, has a vision to see families with thriving children, who understand and value their TCK experience.

• The person will oversee the system, processes and resources that support the vision of thriving families.
• The person will lead the International TCK team, the TCK Care Committee and maintains and supports a network of field and home side TCK personnel, as they work with leaders, TCKs and families.
• The person will also coordinate with the International Safeguarding team in providing safety for children in the organization.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, CHARACTER AND SKILLS

• Experience in, or knowledge of, the TCK experience
• Understanding of child development and education options, such as teaching, homeschooling, modular study groups, etc.
• Competence with using software and applications: emails; databases; documents; communication tools; forums etc.
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Good Communication skills: Questioning and listening, both verbal and written.
• Organizational ability– keeping records, maintaining resources and policies, scheduling, managing priorities, flexibility.
• Leadership skills: leading healthy teams, big picture thinking and planning, providing direction, having a vision, and communicating the vision.
