Description:
The Education Consultant is responsible for assisting a Principal Educational Consultants and above in the development of eLearning and instructor-led courses on Model N’s products and technologies. This person works closely with all members of the Education Services department, and reports to the Director of Education Services.
The incumbent needs strong instructional design and written communication skills to develop training content geared toward adult learners, including robust scenarios, hands-on exercises and assessments of skills and knowledge being taught. After 6-12 months which includes mentoring and supervision by a senior instructor, this person will be expected to begin taking on live customer training responsibilities.
The incumbent will: work closely with Model N’s services, product team and other subject matter experts on content development; identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles and course content; design creative approaches to meet the objectives and goals of the training; create a variety of performance support and quick reference guides to supplement training material; update training materials when Model N releases updated versions of our software; assist with Learning Library tasks; and other support duties as they arise.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong customer satisfaction commitment – this is a critical requirement for this position.
- Ability to rapidly learn new software, business processes and complex tasks
- 1+ years experience creating videos on YouTube, or media on other social platforms (such as infographics, animated gifs, memes, short videos).· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex subject matter to diverse audiences.
- Ability to create an effective job aid or step-by-step instructions for an end user to perform a task.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Interest in, and aptitude for, performing live facilitation and teaching.
- Ability to work with diverse groups within Model N to achieve departmental goals and to support the company’s objectives, including working with technical resources in other departments.
- Demonstrate the ability to think beyond the obvious, ask insightful questions and “go the extra mile” when collaborating with other global team members.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, multiple projects, and still maintain high quality and quantity of deliverables.
- Experience creating effective training or instructional content – such as via presentations, elearning development tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate 360 Rise & Storyline), coding, illustrations, video creation, and/or graphic design
