  • These positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • These positions require regular travel, applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

An opportunity for two (2) Educators to be part of our Health and Wellbeing Hub for the North West Metro Region, located in Docklands.
The Health and Wellbeing Hub is the single most significant investment in the health, safety, and wellbeing of Victoria Police employees to prevent and respond to work related injuries. Six multi-disciplinary teams are being established, based in hubs across the state, with a focus on enhancing employee’s mental health, injury prevention, early intervention, and recovery support.
This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to support Victoria Police employees. You will work on the ground in our Police Stations, travelling across the region as required to meet our people where they are located and deliver education and training in person.
The Educator will provide training for Victoria Police employees, focusing on the delivery of education and training packages that seek to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for members. The position will assist in the design and development of a broad spectrum of education programs in consultation with subject matter experts.
Reporting to the Hub Manager, the incumbent will work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, including the Education Lead, their Health & Wellbeing Hub colleagues, and regional members, to support the goals of the Health & Wellbeing Hub.
Regular travel within the region will be required, and whilst experience in mental health and wellbeing education would be beneficial, it is not necessary.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver education and training to a range of stakeholders centred around wellbeing initiatives.
  • Identify gaps in service delivery and contribute to the design of training packages in conjunction with other disciplines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current education, training and evaluation methodologies and emerging trends through ongoing professional development.
  • Coordinate and maintain a training calendar in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collect and collate feedback from stakeholders regarding both the content and delivery of training programs and their effectiveness.
