Our client is looking for an EHS Specialist, initially for a 6 month contract, to drive EHS Policies and Proceedures at their Clayton Manufacturing facility.
Your role involves providing EHS support, implementing procedures, and driving continuous improvement in safety practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, HSE, or Risk Management/Hazard Management is essential for this role.
Strong communication skills are required, including the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders such as senior management, regulatory agencies, and shop floor personnel.
Responsibilities:
Ensure site compliance with EHS regulations and business-specific requirements by implementing and enforcing EHS policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
Continuous improvement in EHS practices and standards will be a key focus, achieved through conducting internal audits, developing and delivering EHS training programs, and supporting the development of sustainable EHS management system programs across the site.
Incident management duties include investigating injuries, incidents, and near misses, conducting Root Cause Analysis, and monitoring the site’s Risk Assessment Program to mitigate risks.
Support functions include assisting in the completion of the annual EHS work plan, supporting Environmental compliance programs, and reporting and monitoring EH&S incidents and regulatory reporting.
Additional responsibilities include contributing to the Management of Change (MOC) process, covering primary duties of other EH&S Staff when necessary, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a safe work environment and achieve organizational goals.
