Description:
Environmental Health and Safety Internship
The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) intern will be responsible for identifying, assessing and advising on risks arising from the workplace or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimise and control the risks and implementing the measures. The intern will also be responsible for preventing or reducing health and environmental risks and improving quality of processes.
KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Help maintain the occupational health and safety management system.
- Practicing safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines and procedures as set up by Loreal.
- Ensuring that contractor personnel working on site are in compliance with policies and safety requirements.
- Assisting with maintaining and updating as needed SOP’s for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training.
- Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety.
- Formulation and implementation of an environmental management system.
- Manage and ensure environmental health and safety compliance of the organisation.
- Oversee environmental impact management.
- Providing advice, assist with auditing line management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working
- Helps the managers to lead EHS activities in the field.
- Bring expertise during risk analysis.
- Carry out EHS internal audits (control of non-conformities, implement and follow-up corrective actions).
- Contribute to enquiries about accidents, incidents and occupational disease
- Contribute to an exhaustive and accurate group EHS reporting.
