KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Occupational Safety & Health
  • Occupational Safety & Health (Greenbook) - certification from Department of Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia
  • 3 years’ experience of delivering safety in a similar environment
  • Good knowledge of local legal EHS requirement
  • Added advantage with railway industry experience
  • Good Communication skills
  • Analytic thinking
  • 1-year temporary contract position

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role of the EHS Officer is to ensure and provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors during construction sites and projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure the HSE obligations are fully understood by the project’s core team, to offer advice and ensure that they have adequate and suitable arrangements in place and report any failings to the Project Manager for timely management.
  • Implement all required systems and processes to comply with MAHB and AT HSE requirements
  • Responsible to actively support towards HSE preventive Culture together with the Head of HSE site, managers and employees
  • Positively and actively drive at the site a continually improving focus on preventive actions, reduction of injuries and promoting health and environmentally friendly operations
  • Positively involved in the site HSE plan by:
  • Offering operational support where applicable
  • Providing limited coaching on HSE processes
  • Completing of regulatory based activities
