Are you motivated by our mission of saving and sustaining lives? We seek an EHS&S Manager (m/f/d) for our pharmaceutical production site in our Bielefeld facility. This site is essential in our operations, specializing in manufacturing highly potent, non-sterile oncology drugs. With a tradition dating back to the 1920s, Baxter Bielefeld has positioned itself as a global leader in the manufacture of cytotoxic drugs. With around 50 terrific employees, the Bielefeld site is central to producing life-saving oncology drugs.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing the legal tasks of the representative for immission control (§ 54 BImSchG), water protection (§ 65 WHG), and waste (§ 60 KrWG)
  • Handling communication with the authorities
  • Preparation of permit applications following BImSchG
  • Advice on all other environmental law and technical issues
  • Duties and responsibilities of the Occupational Safety Specialist under the Occupational Safety Act
  • Other occupational health and safety tasks, e.g., carrying out instructions, supervising safety officers
  • Supervision of the management system following ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001
  • EHS reporting and implementation of EHS Group requirements
  • Organization of emergency management
  • Planning industrial hygiene measurements with a focus on the handling of potent substances (hazardous substances)
  • Carrying out sampling, defining the test methods, and evaluating the measurement results for the Industrial Hygiene Program
  • Support with risk assessments and root cause analyses for safety-relevant and environmentally-relevant incidents
