Due to internal mobility, we are now seeking a EHS Specialist. This is a key position within the EHS function, reporting to the EHS Manager. In this role you will provide effective EHS support for all site activities. Advise site management on EHS management systems reflecting current regulatory requirements and benchmarking industry best practices.
The role will also include:

EHS Management systems and strategy

  • Maintain and improve management systems to ensure the site is operated in a manner which meets all Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Actively participate as a member of site EHS committees and other workgroups as required.
  • Lead a safety culture on site centered on behaviour-based safety.
  • Continuously reinforce safety on site and ensure it has a high profile.
  • Ensure that plant personnel adhere to safe work practices and to standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and lead EHS initiatives across the site.
  • Monitor compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and other EHS requirements.
  • Act as backup for the EHS Manager in their absence.

Projects

  • Review all projects during their life cycle to integrate EHS requirements.
  • Lead EHS improvement project/initiates from concept through implementation to completion.
  • Work with contractors on site to ensure that they are aware of and in compliance with site rules and policies.
