Description:

The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Legal Directorate (JU) - Coordination Division (COORD) at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 01st October 2024)
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Final year of studies or University degree in law
- A specialization on Finance or Business Law will be considered as an advantage
- Excellent drafting skills
- Good analytical skills and comparative legal skills
- Interest in banking law matters, legal knowledge management and/or management of legal practice. Some previous exposure and experience in such area would be an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Excellent written and spoken English and another EU language
Under the supervision of the Head of Division or of another experienced member of the Coordination Division you will be expected to provide support in the daily legal work of the EIB legal directorate across a number of areas where prior legal knowledge is required to complete the task, including:
- legal research and analysis related to EU law and rules and regulations applicable to the activity of the legal directorate;
- review of available in-house precedent documents, including case studies and presentations;
- tasks related to collection and classification of internal know-how and contribution to the internal knowledge management base maintained by the Coordination Division;
- compilation of standard form documentation and performance of preliminary legal analysis
Responsibilities:
