OVERVIEW OF THE TEAM
The Procurement Team sits within the Corporate Group and is responsible for ensuring Comcare has efficient and effective governance and processes for:
- Sourcing and managing the delivery of goods and services to Comcare.
- Contract management and reporting.
- Compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, procurement connected policies and relevant legislation.
- Internal and external reporting requirements
- Compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 practices and reporting obligations.
Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Assistant Director will help with developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, procedures, and systems to support Comcare’s business objectives and deliver value for money outcomes.
The role provides strategic advice and support to Comcare’s Executive and internal stakeholder’s regarding procurement and contract management. The advice provided by the Assistant Director will be in alignment with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, (PGPA Act), PGPA Rule, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Modern Slavery Act 2018 and other relevant policies and legislative requirements.
The role will support Comcare with managing the whole procurement process, from planning to sourcing, forming contracts, managing contracts and reporting.
The role will also help with leading the procurement team and providing them with support, feedback, and guidance to enhance their skills and performance. The role will work positively, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and improvement within the Procurement Unit and across Comcare.
