About the Role
The EL1 Assistant Director Research and Evaluation will support the delivery of an internal service that conducts research and evaluation using a range of methods to inform Agency decisions.
The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgement to interpret legislation and policy in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.

Desirable skills to have for the role:

  • Either an academic or evaluation qualifications.
  • Experience designing evaluations and producing evaluation logics that reflect the stakeholders/Agency’s needs.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Working with external and internal stakeholders to scope, deliver and govern the evaluation.
  • Preparing ethics and site governance applications.
  • Collecting and analysing a range of quantitative, qualitative and survey data, including coordinating other members of the Research and Evaluation Branch on such activities.
  • Ensuring the evaluation is conducted in accordance with appropriate guidelines, standard operating procedures, NDIS standards and ethics requirements, and maintaining project related records.
  • Preparing and presenting reports and slide-pack summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with other teams in the Research and Evaluation Branch, as required.
  • Designing and conducting other research projects, including working with people with various types of disabilities and from various cultural backgrounds.
  • Communicate and support the implementation of research findings.
