About the Opportunity
This role is a 12 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.
About the Team
The Research and Evaluation Branch is responsible for ensuring that agency policies, practices and priorities are informed by trustworthy and robust evidence. The branch aims to improve evidence based decision making within the agency and finds solutions to high priority issues, shaping disability research to maximise its impact.
The branch is accountable for collating and conducting research, evidence, best practice and lived experiences for decision-making. This includes evaluating key agency programs and initiatives, ensuring staff are able to find, generate and utilise evidence for decision-making and translating our knowledge of research to our customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Role

Some of the requirements of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading the development of logic models and monitoring and evaluation frameworks for other agency programs, policies and services.
  • Supervising Senior Research and Evaluation Officer(s) and other staff to collect, analyse and report quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Enhancing the agency’s use of evidence-informed practice in delivering outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Shaping and mainitaining the agency’s relationships and partnerships with external research bodies, including specialist agencies and relevant academic and technical experts, to ensure that the wider disability research community is effectively engaged to deliver benefits for the Scheme and people with disability across Australia.
  • Developing and implementing theory of change/program logic models, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and project plans.
  • Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, in accordance with standard operating procedures, NDIS standards and ethics requirements.
  • Preparing and implementating surveys, focus groups and interviews.Providing technical expertise and advice on evaluation design and delivery including quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship (required)
  • Knowledge and experience in evaluation of programs and services
  • Analysing and reporting on qualitative and quantitative data
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Stakeholder engagement and management experience
