Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Asset Engineer with a background in Water to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and optimising infrastructure assets while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently apply relevant Asset Management processes and procedures, striving for continuous improvement within existing policy guidelines.
- Build and nurture positive customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Make informed decisions to minimise the whole lifecycle cost of assets and services.
- Seek efficiencies through the adoption of innovative technologies or alternative approaches to achieve direct benefits.
- Support the development, implementation, and application of Asset Management Plans, standards, and management regimes for infrastructure assets.
- Ensure compliance with Capital Management systems and processes, including project forecasting and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate the acceptance of new assets through handover processes, ensuring they meet functional requirements and acceptable quality standards.
- Collaborate with various teams to prioritise and deliver effective end-to-end programs.
- Deliver and optimise Asset Management regimes to ensure service levels are met, including risk-based maintenance analysis and programmed maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support to Infrastructure Operations and contribute to asset management oversight.
Key Responsibilities - KPIs:
- Successful delivery of asset inspection programs and maintenance activities.
- Completion and recording of all asset inspections and maintenance actions.
- Timely completion of maintenance regimes and responses to preventative maintenance enquiries.
- Documented best management practices, standards, and maintenance regimes.
- Completion of business cases within set timelines and budgets.
- Successful implementation of the Asset Management Strategy.
- Compliance with asset management systems and processes.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:
- Detailed knowledge of Electrical Engineering and operational complexities of sewerage transfer and treatment plants.
- Experience in asset management of water and/or sewerage assets.
- Senior technical capability and leadership in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding and application of technical and general risk management processes.
- Proficiency with standard office IT systems (e.g., MS Office, Maximo, GIS).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Initiative, prioritisation skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Active engineering registration in a related discipline.
- Experience in relevant engineering field.
- Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- Valid Victorian Driver License and willingness to travel to various sites.
