Description:

Key requirements:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical / Control / Instrumentation Engineering (min HNC)
  • Min of 5 years’ experience in an E&I Maintenance role
  • Experienced gained in a med- heavy industrial environment
  • Experience of working with boilers, pumps and associated process equipment
  • Knowledge/experience of process plants, control loops, SCADA systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical distribution and control systems including P&IDs
  • Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills
  • Able to prepare technical reports and plan work
  • IT literate
  • Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel to other site

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all E&I equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum plant reliability
  • Inspection, maintenance and calibration of fixed and mobile equipment
  • Installation and commissioning activities
  • Attend breakdowns and perform planned and pro-active maintenance
  • Support upgrade and improvement projects
  • Loop checking and interpretation of technical drawings
  • Complete inspection reports
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers and carry out purchasing
