Role Overview:
My client is currently seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their Building Services team. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for large commercial and industrial buildings, including new builds and refurbishments. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake detailed electrical design work for building services projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and schedules in accordance with project requirements and client objectives.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to construction and commissioning.
• Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers to discuss project specifications and progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design tools.
• Sound knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
