DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCES
- Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSWMS) and its application to Engineering Delegations and Risk Levels.
- Knowledge of Submarines or the Shipbuilding engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technically challenging electrical design and drafting tasks which demonstrate knowledge of engineering fundamentals;
- Undertake detail design activities from assembly to system level, production of electrical drawing outputs such as Cable Block Diagrams, Schematics, Connection details and Cable Installation data.
- Selection of electrical components suitable for installation and manufacture
- Provide input to technical decisions that are safe, practical and suitable for implementation;
- Provide support to disciplines within and departments outside of Engineering to deliver engineering products and services
- Conduct business in a professional manner with minimal supervision
