ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge status quo and champion process improvement.
This role will suit someone with highly effective relationship building abilities with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

To be successful in the role you will bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • PLC and Automation experience
  • Experience in the identification and delivery of process improvement
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation Factory Talk ecosystem (desirable)
  • Electrical licence (desirable)
  • Previous manufacturing/food industry experience (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of PMBOK (desirable)
  • Chartered Engineering status, or working towards (desirable)

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Group Engineering team and contribute to the optimisation of our manufacturing processes.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead site-based electrical project work, ensuring the design and electrical systems are up to standard and at optimum levels. The role will also see you collaborate with cross functional teams to support operations, identify and define future automation opportunities, drive improvements in electrical safety and support electrical training of electrical trades.

Key tasks of this role include:

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive project management plan from concept to completion using the appropriate methodology
  • Manage project cost, quality and timelines ensuring Senior Management are kept up to date on the completion of all major milestones and/or setbacks
  • Development of technical documentation to support projects and update BEC electrical standards.
  • Contribute to BEC sustainability pathway through energy and carbon reduction projects
  • Identify system common causes for electrical faults, and contribute to continuous improvement via standards, engineering changes and training
  • Be the technical escalation point for the electrical team
  • Responsible for managing electrical drawings across the sites including single line diagrams, network topology and MCC/DB/CB drawings.
