Description:

We are seeking a proficient Electrical Engineer to join our team, dedicated to the successful implementation of our projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in project design, document review, planning, design and contractor’s coordination, commissioning, ensuring reliability of the activities and a smooth execution and timely completion of the electrical activities. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and technical skills.

  • Reporting to : MEP Manager
  • Location: Geneva, Switzerland.

  • Support the Design and Construction team in the day-to-day planning, monitoring, and control of all design aspects of the project within the agreed timeframe.
  • Assist in reviewing scope narratives to ensure compliance with project objectives and collaborate with the design consultant to finalize the scope and design brief.
  • Participate in meetings related to design, construction, and risk management, and produce meeting minutes as required.
  • Provide the Design and Construction team with information on the project implementation plan as needed.
  • Assist in reviewing design and construction submittals to assess compliance with project objectives, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Prepare change orders and perform installation follow-up on-site.
  • Prepare support material for meetings with internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings with requesters and stakeholders to determine project requirements for design and construction input and review from end-users.
  • Perform design reviews within the BIM as appropriate.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as requested.
  • Review shop drawings, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and construction material recommendations.
  • Respond to contractor requests for information.
  • Assist the Project Management Support team in reviewing progress billing and change orders.
  • Conduct periodic site quality assurance inspections, including issuance of observation reports.
  • Monitor and co-lead commissioning and handover activities.
  • Review close-out documentation such as O&M manuals and as-builts.
  • Prepare monthly reports and recommended action plans in accordance with assigned duties and in agreement with the Project Engineering Manager.
  • MSc in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Proficient in Electrical Systems Design, encompassing all phases of project development including Detail Design, Technical Design, Execution Drawings, and As-builts.
  • Extensive knowledge and consistent experience in the commissioning and hand-over phases.
  • Experience in functional and pre-functional test reports.
  • Good knowledge of experience in managing snag lists.
  • Skilled in on-site electrical installation reviews and assessments for technical specification compliance.
  • Expertise in ELW/LW systems (e.g., Intercoms, Access Control, PA, CCTV, Fire Life Systems).
  • Experienced in responding to and managing RFIs.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Assurance standards and Quality Management Systems.
  • Proficient in reviewing electrical drawings, documents, specifications and reports.
  • Strong understanding of achieving the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Experience with international projects and multinational teams.
  • Professional proficiency in both French and English, both written and oral.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
