JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Designer that is a problem-solver, eager to rise to the challenges of a continuously evolving technological industry, and wants to make an impact on the safety of people and businesses globally.
Responsibilities:
- Developing innovative products alongside mechanical, firmware, and DVT teams
- Designing digital electronics and power supply circuits using EDA tools including schematic capture, PCB layout and simulation tools
- Testing, characterizing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electronic circuits
- Rapid prototyping of test circuits using workbench tools and test equipment
- Designing and testing for EMC compliance and safety
- Supporting production and products in the field
- Creating and maintaining board design files, JIRA tickets, testing documentation, and bills of materials
- Reviewing the work of peer designers and providing technical feedback
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in electronic design and validation
- Successfully designed and launched products that are EMC and safety compliant
- Experience using common electronic components (processors, DRAM, sensors, voltage regulators, stepper motors, programmable devices, etc.) is an asset
- Experience designing and testing 5W to 100W power supplies is an asset
- Experience designing and testing wireless modules (ie WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.) is an asset
- Hands on skills including soldering, prototyping and using test equipment
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving with ability to improvise
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to learn quickly and work well within a team environment
This position is based in Vancouver, BC and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area as you will be required to go into the office anywhere from 2 - 5 days per week as projects require.
The base salary range for this position in British Columbia is 80,000 - 95,000 CAD depending on experience.
