Description:
TSC’s Innovation & Product Cell (IPC) is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Aurora, CO with an educational and/or industry focus in the analysis and design of Mixed-Signal Analog, and Digital systems for real-time electronic warfare payloads and radar systems.
This position requires a flexible individual with experience in rapid, new product development. TSC’s IPC team is chartered with developing new products by leveraging technology across TSC. This team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development and deployment to include changing requirements, hardware, software, and mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management. This position will involve designing, developing, and testing complex electronic systems for various radar system and RF sensor applications. Hardware designs may involve high-speed RF Analog-to-Digital (ADC) and Digital-to-Analog (DAC) converters for applications that utilize the latest Radio Frequency System on Chip (RFSoC) technologies. The individual in this position needs to conceptualize, design, build, and test analog and digital circuits across multiple product lines.
- Design and develop mixed analog, and digital circuits using the latest FPGA and RFSoC components.
- Conduct circuit simulations, analysis, and verification to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs.
- Prototype, test, and debug electronic systems to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and research to stay updated on the latest advancements in mixed analog and digital design.
- Collaborate with experienced designers to enhance electronic design skills.
Required Qualifications:
- BS and minimum 5 years of experience in industry in the design of digital & mixed-signal circuitry.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard schematic design and simulation tools (Cadence, SPICE, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in schematic design and implementation using FPGA and ADC/DAC devices.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Possess excellent organizational and communications skills.
- Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AnSoft/Ansys HFF, AWR Microwave office, or similar simulation tools
- Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis
- Experience transitioning designs into manufacturable products.
- Experience designing to and mitigating EMI/EMC requirements (i.e., MIL-STD-461 & 464)
- Experience with Xilinx/Altera components and software tools (Vivado/Quartus)
- Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools such as Microwave Office or Ansys HFSS
- Excellent presentation and technical writing skills

If performed in Colorado, in compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA), TSC is disclosing the possible salary range for this role. The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $131,000, with the opportunity for an annual bonus.
