Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will function as an important part of the Electrical Engineering department at Silent-Aire. You will collaborate with the department engineers in executing all aspects of a variety of challenging and innovative projects centered around electrical design of Data Centre Air Handling Units, Electrical Panel design, general electrical engineering queries and testing. This position requires a candidate to have good interpersonal skills and collaborate with other departments to deliver a full electrical design. The production of CAD drawings and the use of E-plan software will be an integral part of the job working under a senior Electrical engineer.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
- Provide technical design support to engineers within the engineering department with specific focus on electrical design engineering.
- Production of CAD drawings and the use of E Plan software (Training will be provided).
- Take a leading role in project execution.
- Creation of submittal packages and drawings based on client requirements.
- Communicate and interact with external clients.
- Selection and design of custom air handling equipment and modular data centers including:
- Design of a variety of Electrical systems for custom air handling and cooling equipment to client’s specifications.
- Design development and value engineering assistance of data center and modular data centers to support client specific needs.
- Selection and correct sizing of electrical equipment components associated with air handling equipment and compiling Bills of Materials.
- Assistance with costing of units and components.
- Production of schematic drawings, submittal packages and single line drawings.
- Production of construction drawing package
- Assist with the development of new and innovative product lines and refinement of existing products.
- Interact with production; perform periodic inspections of units under construction.
- Participate in continuous product improvement.
Be involved in many aspects of the business including support for estimating, Factory Witness Testing, Business development and sales, production improvements and marketing.
