  • Pay Rate: up to $70/hour
  • Location: Kitimat, BC, Fly in, Fly out from anywhere in Canada
  • Shift: 3 weeks on, 1 week off

Responsibilities:

  • Working in accordance with our Client’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards and applying these standards in the development of problem solutions.
  • Executing changes to improve equipment performance and reliability through execution of asset management best practices and improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in routine and major works planning and bring innovation and technical solutions to the process that bring value to organization through reduced production impact, materials use, contract labor cost and/or increase time between activities through material/technology improvements to assets.
  • Creating task and safe work procedures for maintenance work execution that incorporate the required technical detail and feedback to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Developing, Sustaining and improving the preventive and predictive maintenance programs and ensuring these strategies are documented and monitored.
  • Sustaining and Improving management of materials technical specifications, review of substitutions, making materials performance improvements and updating bills of materials to meet agreed strategies
  • Providing technical assistance to maintainers in the field as part of help chain for both immediate and longer-term problems
  • Performing root cause analysis and defect elimination exercises to identify gaps and propose/implement solutions and actions to close.
  • Prepares capital needs analysis and works with capital, finance and others to prepare and present PIC approvals.
  • Part of the locations technical support network during evening or weekend hours for critical works.

Qualifications:

  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Record of commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance and asset management of processing plants, mining, manufacturing, pulp and paper or similar heavy industry environment
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Registration or immediately eligibility to register with EGBC as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training
