Due to our growth and expansion, we need to incorporate an Electrical Supervisor in Upington, Northen Cape, South Africa
Reporting directly to the Regional Branch Manager, your mission will be supervising the Electrical part for O&M.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Supervision of the electrical Maintenance staff in the field.
  • Technical support in the field for electrical work.
  • Performing electrical Maintenance work.
  • Coordinating with the electrical and maintenance team to ensure that the work is done as per the established schedule, ensuring at all times that the established safety measures are complied.
  • Revision of the Facility for the detection of anomalies/breakdowns.
  • Monitoring of work.
  • Studying of possible improvements.
  • Ensure High level of Facility “full time availability and capacity.
  • Ensure Safe Maintenance of the Facility. Comply with the Maintenance schedules and targets.
  • Comply with the targets relating to Facility reliability and availability.
  • Effective management of the Maintenance team.
  • Relability of the mechanical and rotary Facility.
  • Strict budgetary control of the Maintenance section.
  • Reports on the optimisation of the safety of the electrical section.
  • Up-to-date and logical strategies for equipment Maintenance in the area of responsibility.
  • Act as a substitute Head of Maintenance.
  • Identify, draw up reports and make modifications to Maintenance in their area of responsibility.
  • Participate in the development of Facility Maintenance programs.
  • Promote practices of awareness of safety/safety work done by mechanical staff and contractors and take staff well-being into account

What requirements are needed for the position?

  • Must have: studies in Electrical Engineering, with a National Diploma. Complementary studies: B-tech
  • Additional certifications: Pr. Engineers and ECSA Accreditation.
  • Required experience in electrical functions in operation and maintenance in CSP plants or industry in general. Experience in CSP will be especially valued.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • IT: Office (Excel, Word). Knowledge of SAP would be a plus.
  • Driven license and car.
  • Availability to travel.
