JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time
ABOUT OUR CLIENT: They design and manufacture tracked, diesel and diesel/electric work vehicles and equipment.
PRODUCTS: Off road tracked vehicles, digger derricks and snow vehicles for the power, utility, telecom, forestry, mining and ski industries.
LOCATION: Montreal, QC
WORK HOURS: 40 hours a week, flex hours and paid overtime

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is looking for an electrical engineer for hands on assembly testing and debugging work on prototype and production vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS:

. Bachelor degree Electrical Engineering
. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
. Knowledge of hydraulic systems
. Knowledge or experience with High Voltage electrical vehicle systems and components
. Knowledge of Parker Hannifin electrical software systems IQAN and ZUKEN
. Basic Printed Circuit Board design and assembly is also an asset.
. Design: Schematics, dashboard, wire harness for tracked machines
. Assembly: Dashboard, wire harness
. Installation: Installing Electrical Components on vehicle
. Testing: Functions & Set up
. Modifications: Any upgrades on existing schematics , proper documentation in manuals
. Excellent English communication skills spoken and written

Responsibilities:

. Electrical functionality of electronically controlled diesel powered vehicles & machinery
. Electrical testing and troubleshooting of prototype and production vehicles in factory or in the field
. Hands on electrical assembly and wiring of prototype equipment
. Technical support for production staff
. Technical support over the phone for customers, mainly in English (clients in the US and Canada)
. Organize and track electrical component inventory
. Electrical component search, selection and purchasing
. Writing troubleshooting & debugging documentation
. Eventually preparing electrical schematics using CAD
