Job Description

MISSION

We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer or CEP to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to projects in the energy sector related to Hydro-Québec by carrying out switchgear, control, grounding grid or pre-operational verification tests in various substations or power plants, by travelling to work sites with the team, mainly in Quebec. Occasionally, you may be called upon to participate in design and implementation projects. You’ll be contributing to a fast-growing sector and learning from a team passionate about electrical energy. This is a hybrid (combination of site, office, and home) position based in our Sherbrooke, QC office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Fluent in spoken and written French
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
  • Proactivity; looks for opportunities to better serve customers
  • Ability to write clear, well-structured technical reports
  • Mobility in Quebec and interest in travelling to work sites
  • Valid Driver’s License in Quebec

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and carry out electrical tests on switchgear and equipment
  • Prepare and carry out tests on protection relays and automated systems
  • Check installation of switchgear and electrical equipment on site
  • Analyze test results rigorously and accurately
  • Prepare and revise technical reports
  • Annotate various documents issued for construction
  • Prepare lists, drawings and specifications for electrical work
