EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an operations & maintenance environment on a mine site (preferably underground)
  • Proficiency with PRONTO software, demonstrating your adeptness with industry-standard tools.
  • Hold academic qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Step into the role as an experienced Electrical Engineer, as you drive electrical engineering services while overseeing critical mine infrastructure projects, for both fixed plant and mobile fleet equipment.
  • Rotate on an 8/6 roster from any Capital city on the East coast (preference is Brisbane) depart on a Tuesday and return the following Wednesday.
  • Have the choice of either camp or shared accommodation while on site.
  • Focus primarily on High Voltage systems (80%) while also championing the enhancement of Instrumentation (20%) and Control Systems.
  • Be rewarded with an attractive STI annual bonus program

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Ensure unwavering statutory compliance with Mines regulations and Australian Standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of installations and operations with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring alignment with design specifications and stringent safety standards.
  • Harness the power of engineering software like AutoCAD to execute intricate engineering tasks with precision.
  • Drive projects to successful completion within budgetary constraints, while maximising plant/equipment availability to optimize operations.
  • Revolutionise maintenance procedures to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and drive down costs.
