Description:
Electrical Engineer
Qualified B.Eng or B.Tech Electrical Engineer in the Design, Commissioning and Project Management for the Companies Power Solution’s product portfolio and solutions, including UPS systems, Generator systems, Solar PV systems, Power Quality and other standard commercial electrical installation work.
Conduct site audits for the design of Solar PV systems, creating BOQ’s and combining it into a proposal
Conduct measurement audits for sizing and dimensioning of technical solution (UPS, Generator, Inverter, battery storage, solar PV etc.)
Develop projects and present to clients
Assist Sales and Business development team with the design, scoping and costing of solutions.
Determine projects specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.
Project management on key projects, managing contractors, procurement of material, invoicing etc.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and integrating them into design processes.
Execute all tasks according to company quality standards and uphold workmanship standards as per company procedures.
Abide by all Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Cooperate with senior to assist in operational efficiency and effectiveness
Assist in upholding installation and workmanship standards as laid down by procedure.
Travelling to sites throughout the country.
Provide technical support regarding UPS and inverters
Ensure all designs and installations meets the required codes and standards
Overseeing the commissioning process and sign-off, ensuring proper installation and functionality of solution.
B.Eng. or B.Tech. Electrical Engineering Degree.
Registered with ECSA as Pr.Eng or Pr. Tech
Solar PV Design training (not Compulsory but will be an advantage)
Registered with ECSA to be able to sign off on engineering projects
Minimum 3-5 Years work experience with references
Between 3 - 5 Year
