We’re seeking dedicated Electrical Engineering Technicians to join our client in Derrimut, Victoria on a fulltime basis. This role offers an exhilarating chance to dive into groundbreaking projects within a supportive team and forward-thinking atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the design, testing, and enhancement of electrical systems and components.
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and maintenance on advanced industrial installations, including AC/DC motor control circuits, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo motors.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold peak performance standards.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and commissioning complex electrical systems, with a focus on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), robotics, and automation control systems using advanced diagnostic tools and software
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks on critical electrical infrastructure, ensuring adherence to Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) standards where applicable.
- Implement and optimize electrical maintenance strategies, including the application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) techniques.
- Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance procedures andchecklists
- Ensure critical and maintenance spare parts availability to reduce machine downtime.
- Maintain a “hands-on” role with support of the site manager.
- Follow HSEQ standards and procedures.
- Scheduling and coordinating contractors.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an industrial electrical engineering role, with a strong emphasis on maintenance, diagnostics, and project management of automated manufacturing systems.
- Previous experience in the e-waste, waste, or metals recycling industries, with a focus on environmental sustainability and efficiency improvements in electrical systems.
- Proficient in adhering to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management systems, with certifications in electrical safety and hazardous area work preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and related elements.
- Proficient in interpreting schematics and technical diagrams.
- Sharp problem-solving abilities coupled with an acute eye for detail.
- Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Salary rate of will be $65,000 -$85,000 depending on experience and qualifications with significant opportunities to grow income.
