Position: Electrical Fit Out Construction Manager
Location: Onsite – Slough

Job Description
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our project development and implementation process. You will work closely with the UK Regional Manager as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- The candidate will have the ultimate responsibility of leading and delivering the installation of the facilities support office block on a large data centre project from cradle to grave.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of construction supervisors, subcontract labour and direct labour as well as liaising with the main contractor, 3rd party contractors and clients.
- The candidate will need to understand the scope of works, specification and the subcontract packages.
- Commercial experience is required where the candiate will need to be aware of the budget and will be required to assist the commercial team with reporting and variations.
- Material take off are required to be carried out and comparison to the tender is to be undertaken.
- Material requisitions via SAP are to be completed alongside the stores and logistics leads. Materials are to be called into site on a just in time basis.
- The candidate will be required to input into the main program and ensure progress captures are recorded weekly.
- There will be accountability for the QA/QC process alongside the quality management team.
Skills and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Electrical Trade background is required.
- Experience in Life Science, Data Centre and Pharmaceutical projects is advantageous, demonstrating your understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
- 10+ years’ experience in large scale electrical construction.
- Experience of the UK fit out market is required.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office systems, BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, Dialux, Amtech
- Experience with SAP would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development.
- Experience with Electrical systems such as Containment, Distribution, Earthing, Lighting, Emergency lighting, Lighting control, Small power, Critical power, Busbar, Fire Alarm, Vesda, Working knowledge of BS7671, Working knowledge of building regulations.
- Mechanical systems experience not essential but must demonstrate a knowledge of being able to co-ordinate
- Must demonstrate an understanding of electrical system commissioning such as Electrical testing in line with BS7671, Fire detection commission in line with BS5839, Emergency lighting testing in line with BS5266.
- ECS Managers Skills Card required
- ECS Electricians Skills Card required
- SMSTS required
- Valid 1st Aid would be advantageous.
- Fire Marshall would be advantageous.
