DESCRIPTION
Breedon is a leading construction materials group in Ireland and Great Britain. We operate two cement plants and around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.
Our Kinnegad plant manufactures cement for sale throughout the island of Ireland and also exports to Great Britain through our terminal in the Port of Dublin.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
- over 2 years electrical maintenance or installation experience in a fixed-plant environment (preferably heavy engineering).
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation installation and maintenance.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s of benefit.
- Experience in motor control circuits of benefit.
- Experience in HV motors & HV switchgear
- Calibration of pressure, temperature, level & analytical equipment
- Experience in weighing instrumentation & calibration
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are currently looking for an Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our team at our Cement plant based in Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath. The job holder will report to the electrical line manager for all project and department goals and objectives. They will be encouraged to bring forth new ides which will improve operational efficiencies, safety levels and given adequate time and resources to execute those ideas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining analytical equipment
- Preventive maintenance
- Drafting Electrical Drawings
- Shift cover for annual Leave
- Scope project resources before execution
- Inspection of equipment to ensure H&S requirements are fulfilled
- Commissioning electrical projects
