We are looking for an Electrical Lab Engineer to join our Research and Development Centre located in Wigram, Christchurch.
The Electrical Lab Engineer will be responsible for supporting the research and design engineers at Enphase in all aspects of the design, verification and reliability testing of Enphase products.

Role will involve:

  • Performing assigned tasks from the R&D engineers.
  • Modifying and testing prototypes in collaboration with R&D engineers.
  • Conducting verification and debug of Enphase products and prototypes.
  • Maintaining and editing Python test scripts.
  • Modification or repair of prototypes for R&D engineers. SMD and TH rework skill required.
  • Characterising components using test equipment.
  • Construction and winding of custom transformers.
  • Managing test equipment.
  • Designing and building test racks for Enphase products.

QUALIFICATION OR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Graduating or recent graduate BE
  • or technician with 5+ years relevant experience
  • Passion for electronics and technology
  • Experience with using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters etc.

Advantages:

  • EWRB registration - Electrical service Technician.
  • Knowledge and experience with Enphase products.
  • Component-level failure analysis of prototypes and reliability test samples.
  • Mechanical workshop experience.
  • First Aid certificate.

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

Enphase Energy NZ is currently only considering candidates for this role with valid New Zealand work visas, permanent residency or citizenship
