Description:
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
The Electrical Lead Engineer takes ownership for the professional management of all relevant planning and execution works related to the erection of the power supply of the electrolysis plants and is responsible for all electrical topics during the preparation of competitive proposals and the execution of projects worldwide. Throughout the execution phase of a project the Electrical Lead Engineer coordinates the electrical interfaces to suppliers and EPC partners. He ensures that relevant Siemens Energy processes, workflows, and guidelines are followed and regularly reports the progress of the work to the management.
During your typical workday you start with a short alignment meeting with other electrical engineers working under your supervision in a >100 MW sized electrolysis project responsible for the core scope of our system. After discussing a previously identified potential issue with the technical project manager you review the proposal for a rectifier transformer and prepare an answer for the vendor. After lunch you are invited to a meeting with a potential customer in which you explain our power supply solution and align on the next steps to evaluate the customer´s grid connection requirements. Before the end of your day, you are planning your trip for a scheduled factory acceptance test and in your last activity you are invited to discuss the electrical simulation validation approach and necessary interaction studies with our grid consulting and simulation engineers.
