Description:

AVK-SEG UK Ltd, a leading company in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Engineer with Gas Experience to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Lead Engineer, you will play a vital role in overseeing electrical engineering activities related to Gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of electrical engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing the design and development of electrical systems and components for Gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, mechanical engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of electrical engineering activities with project objectives.
  • Managing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Reviewing and approving electrical engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including feasibility studies and cost estimation.
  • Staying updated with the latest advancements and trends in electrical engineering and implementing best practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in electrical engineering, preferably in the Gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of electrical systems design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to electrical engineering.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional engineering certification or membership is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the energy or power industry, specifically with Gas projects, is highly desirable.
