Description:
EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the work of the trade concerned.
Must be skilled in the performance of the work of the trade mainly concerned.
Must possess the ability to interpret and to follow instructions.
Must have the ability to assign, supervise, and inspect the work of the trade concerned.
Must possess a sense of responsibility and the ability to work without direct supervision.
EDUCATION:
At least equal to the classification mainly concerned, but Secondary School preferred.
Must be fully qualified in the classification mainly concerned and have some years of subsequent practical experience.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:
To lead a group of employees in one or more classification, and to co-ordinate all phases of the work in the group.
To carry out instructions from the Supervisor by directing the work of others and ensure they are working efficiently.
To be responsible for ensuring that those being supervised understand and follow all applicable rules and regulations, including work hours, plant safety and health rules, and procedures.
To see that good housekeeping is practiced in the working area.
To assist in the training of apprentices or other employees as required.
