Join a dynamic team at my clients manufacturing site based in Knutsford, a leading manufacturer in the chemical process industry who specialise in legacy and unique products for the commercial sector.
My client is now seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing site team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of PLC fault finding, panel fault finding, preventative maintenance (PPM), and a minimum qualification of HNC level in Electrical Engineering.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in PLC and panel fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Willingness to work Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine electrical maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of PLC systems and control panels to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruption to production.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
