Description:

OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading electrical contractor with a strong presence in Cork and the wider Munster area. They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects, providing technical expertise and support to ensure successful project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant third-level qualification or demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale projects in challenging environments.
  • Trade background preferred but not essential.
  • Proven ability to work independently while fostering a positive work culture with a strong team focus.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams and departments.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Offer technical support to the project team, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Manage electrical document control, maintaining up-to-date logs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create handover packs and test packs for electrical and instrumentation systems, adhering to agreed system lists and defining system boundaries.
  • Coordinate with client commission teams to manage system turnover packs effectively.
  • Attend quality meetings and participate in QA/QC walk-downs as required.
  • Prepare all technical submittals in accordance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with commissioning teams, contributing to the successful sign-off of commissioning parameters.
  • Ensure site supervisors have access to the latest drawings and provide engineering support as needed.
  • Conduct lighting calculations, design reviews, and LV cable sizing as necessary.
