Description:

Randstad are proud to announce their partnership with a global leader in the mining and resources sector. Applications are now open for an experienced electrical project engineer which will be offered on a 12-month contract by our client. Applications are now open with interviews for the role taking place in the coming weeks. Field work is required with regular underground visits related to this role.
The Role:
This role is offered with one of the world’s largest mining organisations on a 12-month contract operating out of our clients mine site in South Australia. This role will be on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, flying out of Adelaide airport.

Accountabilities for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and Issuance of Site Instructions
  • Verification of contractors progress in field where necessary
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment of the health, safety and well-being of your team.
  • inspection works and acceptance on behalf of the owners team.
  • Management of Technical Queries and Departures. review, track, respond, followup.
  • Engagement with incumbent ESP as required.
  • Remediation, Procurement, Service scopes of works.
  • Incoming goods, materials, equipment inspections and acceptance.
  • Contractor management, preparation of site instructions.
  • Field work will be required, regular UG (underground) visits will be related to the discipline for inspections and resolving technical issues.
  • General Project Admin; minuting of meetings, cost forecasting, schedule review and field, verification of progress informing progress payment claims,

Experience and background required for this position:

  • Experience working a FIFO roster within a mining or similiar environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications or similar experience working as an electrical engineer.
  • Underground minesite experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience within water based projects (pump stations)
  • Construction experience is highly desirable.
