JOB DESCRIPTION
Global Construction Engineering (GCE) is responsible for the design and engineering of all of Intel’s major manufacturing and cleanroom projects across the globe. We are a team of specialized in-house architects and engineers in a highly collaborative environment. We work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically challenging construction projects in the world with demanding schedule and cost constraints. This hybrid position will be based at our Ronler Acres campus in Hillsboro, Oregon and relocation assistance will be provided. As an Electrical Project Engineer - Tool Install Engineering your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Provide engineering solutions and breakthroughs to enable and deliver tool install construction projects to meet cost, schedule, duration and productivity target goals set by the corporation. Leverage subject matter experts throughout Intel in the areas of Construction Management, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Quantity Surveying, Off-Site Manufacturing, Finance, and Digital Transformation to deliver innovative engineering solutions. Influence change across key internal stakeholders with compelling data. Subject matter expert responsible for providing technical guidance to the Fab Construction Enterprise. Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution. The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Innovative approach with the skills and expertise to drive improvements to cost, schedule, and productivity for construction projects. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have at least one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 4+ years of experience in Design and Construction of Electrical Systems with focus on power and Registration as Professional Engineer (PE). Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of experience in Design and Construction of Electrical Systems with focus on power and Registration as Professional Engineer (PE). Preferred Qualifications: In depth understanding of US and international electrical codes such as NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc. Previous experience with arc flash modeling. Focus on semiconductor and cleanroom projects. Previous experience with collecting required date and writing whitepapers, seeking buyoff from stakeholders, and implementing technical changes. Familiarity with construction specifications.
