QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical/ Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2-3 years experience in an electrical, maintenance or reliability engineering role
  • Knowledge of electrical ELV, LV and HV distribution systems and drive systems
  • Knowledge of electrical protection systems for mobile equipment
  • High Voltage drive, propulsion and/or onboard distribution system experience
  • Mining and heavy mobile equipment and or autonomous fleet experience
  • Experience in facilitating Defect Elimination (DE), Continuous Improvement (CI) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes
  • Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus
  • Knowledge of computer management systems (SAP, MS Office etc)
  • Communication, Facilitation and Presentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement WOL asset management strategies, tactics, and documentation for Electrical, High-Voltage, and Automation systems within the HME fleet and supporting electrical infrastructure
  • Identify, investigate, and implement safety, cost-saving, and quality improvement initiatives for Electrical, High-Voltage, and Autonomy systems within the HME fleet and supporting electrical infrastructure
  • Provide electrical engineering support to all sites to ensure that equipment is maintained in accordance with WOL plans, FMG and legislative standards
  • Identify maintenance and repair practice improvements through the development of a close relationship with the on-site maintenance teams and observation of breakdown and scheduled repair processes and practices
  • Lead RCA and DE processes in identification of both current and historic, chronic and acute issues in the Electrical, High Voltage and Autonomy systems
  • Work with broader team to integrate on-board machine hardware with remote monitoring systems
  • Support the development and integration of the electrification and automation of the HME fleet across FMG operations leading into operational electrical engineering support
