Description:

ABOUT YOU:

  • 3+ years’ Data Centre or industrial buildings experience and/or 3+ years’ experience in engineering consultancy
  • Experience with the development of MOP’s, SOP’s, EOP’s and SWMS’s for planned or break-fix works.
  • Extensive experience with Data Centre specific key electrical infrastructure – including Uninterruptable Power Supplies, Electrical Gensets, Site Main Switchboards, Transformers and associated sub-systems
  • Experience with holistic capacity management tools and best practice
  • Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or electrical trade discipline
  • Knowledge of building services design, installation and operation
  • Ability to document engineering principles via drawings and specifications

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Electrical Services Specialist to support our Electrical Services Lead in establishing standards and maintaining processes for all electrical sub-systems across the CDC portfolio. The incumbent will also support electrical procedural quality assurance, capacity management across ANZ sites and coordination of electrical discrimination (selectivity).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Facilities, Technical, and ICT groups to ensure the delivery and operation of optimized Data Centre solutions, services, and functionality. Therefore, facilitating the growth and scalability of our core business.
  • Assist in deep-diving root cause analysis that pertain to electrical infrastructure and effectively engaging the site operations teams to the response and expected actions that come from the findings.
  • Provide support in review for any tender submissions or electrical design documentation with collaboration from external consultants.
  • Ensure all electrical management system architectures are designed in accordance with industry best practice, and the methods being applied within critical infrastructure & utility environments meet the CDC operating standards.
  • Assist the site operations teams in efficiency objectives and upgrade activities, through feasibility reviews and scope approval, ensuring continual resilience and accuracy of Data Centre electrical system architecture and discrimination.
  • Work in collaboration with internal business verticals including Operational Site Management teams and Technology teams to ensure all generational improvement, enhancement and training delivers optimized and functional outcomes.
  • Peer Review all technical change requests from the site operations teams and ensure best practice and accuracy in the proposed works, approach, Method of Procedure and supporting documentation
  • Assist in the management of electrical capacity across the CDC ANZ portfolio.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and point of support for all operations queries or findings that require an engineered solution or advice on best practice.
  • Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Provide cultural and operational team leadership.
  • Other duties as directed from time to time.
