Description:

QUALIFICATION

  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering (Thermal or Mechanical as second options)
  • Experience in cable design
  • Full proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Full proficiency in both written and spoken German
  • Familiarity in reading and understanding customer specifications
  • Ability to understand relevant national and international standards
  • Knowledge of cable construction and main characteristics
  • Good knowledge of main engineering IT tools (i.e. Mathcad, Matlab, Simulink. Cymcap is a plus)
  • Ability to combine technical knowledge with communications and liaisons skills, both internally and with Customers representatives (both technical and commercial)

Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of cable systems. This involves defining technical solutions that meet customer requirements while considering environmental constraints. Your role will focus on optimizing solutions for competitiveness and feasibility. You will produce technical documentation for customers and specifications for internal or subcontractor use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical documentation for customers and specifications for internal or subcontractor use.
  • Participate in meetings with customers’ representatives throughout the enquiry and contract stages to ensure compliance with requirements and customer satisfaction.
  • Produce detailed costing of materials and services and provide technical content for submission to customers.
  • Support the preparation of formal documentation and design information for cable manufacturing, accessories, and installation activities.
  • Occasionally work on specific aspects not fully defined at the offer stage, such as designing special parts or coordinating qualification testing.
  • Participate in technical presentations, conferences, seminars, and workshops for customers.
  • Conduct thermal, electrical, and mechanical calculations to determine technical proposals and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
