ELECTRICIAN

Location: UK Wide (Preston Headoffice)
Salary: £40,000 - £42,500 (Depending on qualification)

Join their team and work on diverse civil projects across the UK. Our client serves a range of businesses, including supermarkets, hotels, retailers, the NHS, and top universities. They’ve also recently expanded into Europe, specialising in security and parking installations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (PROOF REQUIRED):

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/ Electrotechnical Technology
• City & Guilds 2382 (17th or 18th Edition)
• Valid Driving Licence and ability to drive a company van

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a comparable role
• Commercial/industrial experience
• Experience in data networking/ CAT 5&6
• Working knowledge of IP addresses and configuration of networking hardware
• Experience in testing and inspection
• Understanding of single/3 phase electrical supplies, and control equipment such as contractors

Key Responsibilities of an Electrician:

• Carry out installations and maintenance to the customer specifications and contractual requirements.
• Fault finding and repairing system faults.
• Fluent in Electricity at Work Regulations and IEE Wiring Regulations
• Liaising with clients/customers and other on-site trades regarding our work to obtain relevant information required for the task
• Problem-solving, problem detection and repairing system faults, using a logical approach.
• Ensure Quality and Health and Safety standards are maintained to the required levels
• Promote a strong behavioural-based safety culture
• Undertake other tasks as required within personal competencies
