SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• South Australian Electrical Licence;
• Trade qualified –Electrical Trade;
• Construction Induction (Whitecard);
• Good attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
• Class C drivers licence;
• Willingness to work at other Ahrens Group locations if required;
• Certificates of Competency – E.g. Working at Heights, Confined Space etc (Desirable);Additional Operators Licences e.g. Truck, Crane, Forklift etc (Desirable).

ABOUT THE ROLE

Play an integral role in the delivery of professional, effective and appropriate mining site trade services within Ahrens as an Electrician at our Olympic Dam, SA location. In this role you will work as a member of the site crew to carry our electrical and other related duties safely, to quality and time specification and standards and assist in other areas as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, BCA, Local Ordinances and other relevant codes and standards;
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and drawings;
• Examine work for defects and ensure conformance with specifications;
• Execute work in a professional and timely manner;
• Ensure works comply with all HSQE requirements;
• Ensure materials, labour, plant and equipment are used as effectively and efficiently as possible;
• Provide and maintain a full tool kit to enable effective execution of duties;
• Log information and fulfil administrative requirements associated with your role with a high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner;
• Operate vehicles, plant and equipment in a proper manner;Undertake other reasonable duties as directed.
