Our business Swift Electrical Services Limited is a successful privately owned company
offering electrical services for residential commercial construction projects. To support growth within our business
we are currently accepting applications for Two Permanent positions of Electrician Support Technician/Assistant .

Job description

• Examining blueprints wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and

methods of operation

• Measuring and laying out installation reference points
• Selecting cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors
• Using electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts
• Positioning and installing electrical switchboards
• Connecting electrical systems to power supply
• Testing continuity of circuit
• Installing testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts

Job pre-requisites - 3+ years of experience required in relevant trade/industry. - Must be physically fit as there will be heavy lifting involved. - Must be willing to work outside office hours (e.g. late nights and occasionally weekends). - Must be willing to be exposed to hot/cold weather and air depending upon the season. - Attention to detail; good work ethic; honest; reliable and friendly. - Ability to work in residential & commercial electrical wiring. - Ability to work in both new builds & service older properties. - Ability to read and communicate instructions and effectively present information in one-on- one and small group situations to co-workers. - Ability to follow procedures from Senior person to ensure jobs are done on timely manner. - Ability to comply with company’s safety requirements and procedures. - Must maintain clean and tidy work area and have a tidy appearance.

Job benefits

• 35 hours per week of work is guaranteed.
• Starting minimum salary is $32 per hour.
• Competitive rates to be negotiated dependent on experience can be up to $33 per hour.
• We offer in-house training and will help with process to gain NZ Electrician license and/or

registration.

• Immediate start (for migrant workers upon obtaining appropriate work visa and arrival in

NZ)
