THE OPPORTUNITY

The Boeing MQ28 - is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.
We are seeking an Electromagnetic Effects Systems Design Engineer based in Brisbane or Melbourne to support this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Electromagnetic Effects Systems Design Engineer with MQ-28, you will:

  • Support conduct of test, and verifying EMI/EMC requirements with teammates
  • Develop Test Procedures, and Test Reports, under guidance
  • Perform EMI/EMC analysis and implement mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety of new and existing systems and interfaces
  • Review supplier data and design drawings to verify and correct system design to EMI/EMC standards
  • Conduct EMI/EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to verify adherence to Boeing and/or Military requirements
  • Perform HIRF/Lightning, RF COSITE, Antenna Coupling & RADHAZ analysis and test
  • Contribute to the open, inclusive and innovative team culture that we have

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) YOU WILL HAVE

  • Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years experience in applying relevant engineering practices, standards and regulations
  • Desirable previous experience with MIL-STD-461/464
  • RF background preferred, and looking to develop into EME under the guidance of technical specialists
  • Domestic travel will be required
