Job Summary:
The Electronic Banking Application Analyst II is responsible for providing technical, implementation and system administration support for Electronic Banking and Card Services applications and system interfaces. This includes reporting, data analysis, client support, testing, problem analysis and troubleshooting, and other related tasks. The Application Analyst II is also responsible for assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement of software applications under development or consideration for purchase as well as application adoption and penetration.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Research, design, implement and maintain various software technology solutions, including new technology, to improve processes or services.
  • Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase.
  • Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
  • Record, track and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, third-party vendors, and end users.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects/assignments to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the department.
  • Create and maintain proper control procedures, policies and required system documentation.
  • Develop and properly document test scripts to ensure that proper regression application testing is always adhered and that all application testing and review results achieve the desired result.
  • Administer a system post implementation review that encompasses a thorough, concise process designed to address any issues not encountered while performing pre-implementation review.
  • Confirm readiness of all application deliverables.
  • Create training materials for application training needs and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to branch personnel with navigation of the assigned applications.
  • Address any functional questions that the branch personnel/users may experience.
  • Facilitate issue resolution with functional and/or development technical groups. Work cross functionality to solve problems and implement changes through implementation and on-going maintenance of the application(s); Collaborate with the vendor/internal team on functional issue resolution.
  • Support and focus on prioritization from business team’s end user’s perspective for new requirements, enhancements, or defects.
  • Prepare trend analysis based on reporting data from the application and provide necessary analytics to the business team.
  • Monitor and report on application adoption and penetration, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in regular meetings to address issues, enhancements, etc.
  • Collaborate with the technical teams on the Change Management planning and implementation.
  • Coordinates, in conjunction with technical teams, the Disaster Recovery plan and testing.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems and/or 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • 4 years previous banking operations experience, preferred.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
  • Relatable knowledge and experience of Information Technology principles and concepts preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking principles and concepts, preferred.
