Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the manufacturing processes of electronic products in the plant; responding to manufacturing issues and concerns to ensure products are produced to specifications and according to manufacturing schedules while ensuring efficient use of resources.

  • Providing manufacturing planning and control processes which are planned to deliver products per designed specifications, meeting high quality standards and tight delivery schedules, while keeping the cost under control.
  • Optimizing manufacturing processes, production lines, machine operations by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Establishing bills of material and creates assembly instructions for new products to be manufactured.
  • Working closely with the electronic and mechanical design engineers to ensure the product meets the standards, review designs for manufacture (DFM) and design for test (DFT).
  • Submitting engineering change requests orders (ECO) using Agile PLM Product Lifecycle Management tool.
  • Reviewing and creating PCB manufacturing data packs and submit BOM using Agile PLM Product Lifecycle Management tool.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assisting in the design, build, review of jigs, fixtures and similar hardware for manufacturing processes.
  • Reviewing the plastic injection molding design tooling.
  • Providing on-side assistance to both electronic manufacturing and plastic injection molding lines. Inspect lines, investigate production problems, identify faults, determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Providing manufacturing decision-making information by creating regular reports to leadership.
  • Working closely with sourcing teams and contract manufacturers in the purchase of electronic components which involves a set of activities to procure required raw materials, request and analyze quotes from various suppliers, place orders, monitor payment and delivery processes. The purchase of electronic components requires both technical specification analysis and purchase terms negotiations.
  • Establishing inventory management with focus on monitoring and controlling existing raw materials used in manufacturing processes, optimizing inventory levels and preventing shortages which may lead to higher costs and longer delivery times. Inventory transactions should be periodically updated to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Checking for electronic component obsolescence, identify candidate parts which may be used as replacements of obsolete or hard-to find parts with long delivery times.
