ELECTRONIC MARKETS-APPLICATION PRODUCTION SPECIALIST (JOB NUMBER: IT-052324-001-ARC)

Note that the position may be in the Canadian Branch of BNP Paribas or in one of its subsidiaries based in Montreal.

TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience
• Strong all-around IT background, experience in electronic trading markets on similar environments
• Strong understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems and IIS application servers to be able to tune operating systems platforms for optimum performance
• Ability to work and deliver in stressful environment.

ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to follow and adapt complex processes to resolve issues quickly and accurately
• Good understanding of network and firewall concepts
• Good understanding of web technologies
• Proven project management skills to deliver small & medium scale projects
• Ability to analyses network captures
• Scripting (Python, PERL, Shell, SQL) and development skills for administration, monitoring and support tools would be useful.

• Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills are needed to quickly and accurately assess trouble areas in a wide variety of infrastructure and application environments
• Team player.
• Self-starter attitude and willingness to get involved in a wide variety of tasks

• Capable of prioritizing tasks and multi-tasking projects
• Flexible and adaptable to new environments
• Quickly learn new systems/products.
• Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
