Electronics Designer with Functional Safety expertise!

What are we looking for?
To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for an electronics designer with functional safety expertise. We are looking for an expert who would be responsible for designing and implementing electronic systems that meet functional safety standards. This role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate safety principles into product design, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Because of the location of our hardware teams, preferred location for this role is Tampere or Vaasa.

Key responsibilities in this role are:

  • Design and develop electronic safety systems for various projects in accordance with IEC 61508 or ISO 13849, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards
  • Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA and DFA
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams so ensure system-level safety
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations in functional safety

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s of Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field
  • Proven experience in functional safety and electronic design
  • Familiarity with safety standards. We are looking for professionals in various areas of functional safety, especially industrial (IEC 61508) and machinery (ISO 13849)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and team work abilities
  • Fluent English skills
