Description:

Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer with 3+ years of diverse analog and digital electronics technical design experience? Does your experience include schematic and PCB design experience and hands-on experience with surface mount PCBAs? Do you have a proactive problem-solving approach, strong attention to detail, fantastic communication skills, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement?

ViVitro Labs is an internationally recognized and expanding company that designs and manufactures supports laboratory test equipment for cardiovascular medical devices. ViVitro has two ISO 17025 accredited laboratories to provide engineering services for evaluating the performance of cardiovascular devices such as heart valves prosthesis, stents, and catheters and many other interventional devices.
Reporting directly to the Director of Product Development, you will play a crucial role in leading various engineering tasks such as concept development, design, documentation, prototyping, and testing. Your contributions will directly impact the continued innovation of cardiovascular device test equipment.

AS ELECTRONICS ENGINEER, SOME YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE:

  • Conceive, architect, design, and test electronics for laboratory test systems.
  • May also contribute to firmware and software solutions in these test systems.
  • Analyze and select components to meet product needs.
  • Apply engineering principles and tools in design to ensure products are of high quality and reliability to maintain StarFish/ViVitro’s brand.
  • Creates schematic diagrams, lays out printed circuit boards, and occasionally writes low-level firmware.
  • Simulate and verify electronics designs, document design decisions and results.
  • Assemble and test prototype systems and sub-systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or design defects.
  • Develop verification test plans and methods for formal product tests.
  • Execute verification tests and write detailed test reports.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU THRIVE:

  • Experience with electromechanical systems combining motor, sensor, controller and software technologies.
  • Measurement, data acquisition and signal processing experience.
  • Firmware programming experience in C.
  • Firmware development experience for MCUs.
  • Theory and practice of design for electromagnetic compliance.
  • Biomedical engineering background.
